Where Origin Becomes Legacy
High on the pristine slopes of Mount Argopuro, East Java, a rare expression of Indonesian specialty coffee takes shape. Founded in 2015, Argopuro Walida Indonesia represents more than exceptional coffee—it is a legacy of land stewardship, craftsmanship, and human dignity.
At the heart of Walida is Ahmad Muhlisin, an agronomist whose vision unites scientific precision with deep respect for nature and community. Under his leadership, over 600 hectares of high-altitude coffee forest are cultivated with care, intention, and uncompromising standards.
Discover Exceptional Flavor and Lasting Impact
Experience sustainable coffee farming that nurtures the land and uplifts local communities through premium quality and education.

Sustainably Grown Coffee
Our coffee is cultivated with care on Mount Argopuro, ensuring rich flavors while protecting the ecosystem for future generations.
Community Empowerment
We support local farmers by providing free agricultural education to their children, fostering growth both on and off the farm.
Land Restoration
Over 100 hectares of land have been revitalized, promoting biodiversity and enhancing the environment surrounding our coffee plantations.
A Cooperative Built on Dignity
Walida is home to a close-knit community of 500 farming families, each entrusted with autonomy, respect, and fair opportunity. Farmers determine the value of their own harvests and receive immediate cash payment for freshly picked cherries. Every member of the Walida team is compensated at twice the regional wage, reinforcing a culture where excellence is matched by equity.
This is direct trade at its most authentic—transparent, respectful, and enduring.

Coffee That Revives the Land
Walida coffee is cultivated as part of a living ecosystem. Following a devastating forest fire in 2018, the cooperative embarked on an ambitious forest restoration initiative, planting over 700,000 coffee trees at 1,850 meters above sea level.
Agroforestry & Organically Grown
Every Walida coffee tree grows in harmony with its surroundings, nourished exclusively through organic bio-fertilization. Cascara, fruit tree leaves, grass mulch, and natural compost enrich the soil, restoring minerals and preserving balance within the ecosystem.

Cultivating the Future
Beyond coffee, Walida is deeply committed to education and continuity. The cooperative operates a non-profit agroforestry boarding school called Sabda Ria Nada, home to 500 students and guided by 42 teachers. Here, future agronomists, cultivators, and environmental stewards are shaped—ensuring the knowledge of the land is preserved for generations to come.
Bringing Water Back to the Land
Muhlisin’s return to his homeland was driven by a urgent mission: restoring water to a thirsty landscape. Through innovative agronomy and a deep respect for nature, the careful planting of coffee trees has helped revive the land—allowing water to flow back where it once disappeared.
